Bridges: The Actors’ Agency came about when a group of professional actors decided to pool their skills and resources to create a co-operative, based in Edinburgh. Bridges was set up in 2008 and is the only active co-operative of its kind in Scotland.
With the help of Cooperative Development Scotland and the Business Gateway the founders decided to explore a business model whereby they collaborate and share resources.
Their members work from a busy office at Shandwick Place in Edinburgh’s West End. As a co-operative acting agency, all members work in the office to represent and support their fellow actors when not acting.
