Introducing new Bridges member, Alys Williams. Al Introducing new Bridges member, Alys Williams. Alys is a Lecoq-trained actor and theatre artist based in Glasgow. Her debut play ‘The Light House’ premiered at Leeds Playhouse in 2023 before touring nationally to critical acclaim. ‘The Light House’ had its London premiere and off west-end run at Park Theatre London in April: “outstanding” (Theatre Weekly), “A triumph of creativity” (Yorkshire Times). You can watch the live filming of ‘The Light House’ here: https://thelighthouseathome.vhx.tv As an actor and multi-disciplinary theatre maker, Alys has performed in 6 different countries in collaboration with companies including Red Ladder, Omnibus, Temper Theatre, Cecil Green, SNAP, Same Difference, Saltmine, Cygnet Theatre and OYO Contemporary Dance Company. Introducing our new member Gillian Massey! Gillia Introducing our new member Gillian Massey! Gillian has a diverse background in live, screen and audio performance. She made her Edinburgh Fringe debut in the three-hander comedy Irrelevant, which was shortlisted for the Scottish Arts Club Theatre Award, and returned to the festival in the one-woman play The Lament Of Dorothy Wordsworth, which also enjoyed successful runs at the Glasgow West End Festival and The Swallow Theatre. She starred in the short film Short Fuse, winner of the 48HFP Audience Favourite Award 2021, and featured in the audio play An Isolated Incident. This year, Gillian appeared in The Gaiety On Tour’s production of Ae Fond Kiss and can currently be heard playing the role of the Narrator in the audio play The Man Who Wanted Eternity (available on Audible, Apple Podcasts and Spotify).
